Terms of Service

Last updated: 10 June 2026

1. What GermanyTalent is

GermanyTalent provides general information about German work visas, an eligibility wizard, a job board fed by the official Bundesagentur für Arbeit Jobbörse, and an opt-in talent pool that introduces candidate profiles to German employers. The service is free for candidates.

2. No legal advice

GermanyTalent is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice or legal services within the meaning of the German Legal Services Act (Rechtsdienstleistungsgesetz). All content, including wizard results, document checklists, and eligibility summaries, is general information based on published sources (BAMF, Auswärtiges Amt, Make it in Germany). A wizard result is an informational estimate, not an assessment of your individual legal situation and not a prediction of any authority's decision.

Visa decisions are made exclusively by German missions abroad and immigration authorities. Always verify current requirements with the competent German embassy or consulate before acting. If your situation is complex, consult a licensed lawyer.

3. Accuracy of information

We source factual claims from official publications and review content when rules change. Visa law and administrative practice change, and practice varies between missions. We therefore cannot guarantee that any page is complete, current, or applicable to your case. Salary thresholds, fees, and processing times are the figures published at the date shown on the relevant page.

4. Accounts

You must provide a working email address you control. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential. We may suspend or delete accounts used for abuse, scraping, spam, or attempts to access other users' data. You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard; deletion is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

5. Talent pool and employer introductions

Your candidate profile is shared with employers or recruiters only after you give explicit consent at profile submission. We do not guarantee introductions, interviews, or employment. Employers act in their own name; we are not a party to any employment contract and we are not an employment agency (Arbeitsvermittler) acting for a placement fee from candidates. Candidates never pay for introductions.

You must not upload content you have no right to share, and your profile must describe your own qualifications truthfully.

6. Job listings

Job listings come from the Bundesagentur für Arbeit Jobbörse API and are displayed unchanged apart from formatting and translation. Listings can be outdated or withdrawn by the employer at any time. The application process runs on external sites we do not control.

7. Liability

We are liable without limitation for damage caused by intent or gross negligence, for injury to life, body, or health, and under the German Product Liability Act.

For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of obligations whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the service possible in the first place and on whose fulfilment you may regularly rely (cardinal obligations), and in that case only for the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of free information service.

We are in particular not liable for decisions of visa authorities, missed deadlines, refused applications, lost job opportunities, or costs you incur in reliance on general information that did not match your individual situation. Sections marked as estimates are estimates.

8. Intellectual property

Site content is ours or licensed to us. You may quote with attribution and link freely. Automated bulk scraping of profiles or content is not permitted.

9. Changes to the service and these terms

We may change or discontinue features of this free service. We may update these terms; the date above reflects the latest revision. If a change materially restricts your rights, we will notify account holders by email before it takes effect.

10. Governing law and disputes

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected.

We are neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (Verbraucherschlichtungsstelle) within the meaning of the German VSBG.

11. Severability

If a provision of these terms is invalid, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
